ENERsign® glasguard

The fall-protecting parapet glazing ENERsign®glasquard integrated in the window frame together with the wood-alumium window ENERsign®primus forms a technically perfect solution and an architectural highlight. With the all-glass balustrade protection for windows and floor-level elements, we offer modern architecture a filigree and smart solution.

The glass parapet is barely visible from inside and allows an unobstructed view outside. A very narrowly held glass edge protection forms the conclusion at the top. Likewise, the overall appearance of the façade is hardly impaired.

The parapet guarantees maximum safety due to the even glass support on both sides. The laminated safety glass consists of double TVG in the thickness 2 x 8mm. The friction-locked lateral holding rails ensure easy inspection in the event of a possible replacement of the glass.

The parapet width (window width) of up to max. 2,500 mm allows a variable and generous design even for French windows. We deliver the glass parapet installed in the passive house windows ENERsign®primus at the factory.

ENERsign® steelguard

An alternative to glass balustrades is the steel railing ENERsign® steelguard. The fall protection steel railing for windows and door elements, which is also integrated in the window frame, is available without visible screw connection and in many RAL colours. The railing consists of steel mesh elements with a circumferential frame and round rods and is factory-fitted in the passive house windows ENERsign®primus.

ENERsign®primus elements with at least triple glazing with a U-value glass of 0.52 W/m²K and a g-value of 53%. Other designs and special glasses are available on request.

The U-value window is also called heat transfer coefficient and according to the standard DIN EN 10077 it indicates the amount of thermal energy lost through a window to the outside.

The U-value window is calculated using the formula W/(m²K), i.e. watts per square metre and Kelvin. This value refers to the entire window and defines the amount of energy per unit of time that flows through an area of one square meter when the air temperature on both sides differs by one Kelvin. The lower this value is, the less energy or heat the window emits.
